RECONNECTING MACARTHUR PARK Park Survey 2 of 2 Reconnecting MacArthur Park is a multi-phased project to reimagine a segment of Wilshire Boulevard from Carondelet Street to Alvarado Street in Westlake, one of Los Angeles’ most densely populated and diverse communities. The project goal is to restore one of LA’s most historic parks as a welcoming place for people and families, while improving neighborhood health by adding green space, enhancing safety for people walking and rolling, and improving air quality.Wilshire Boulevard is a vital corridor — but also one of the most dangerous in the area for people walking and biking. Reconnecting MacArthur Park aims to make Wilshire Boulevard safer for everyone, improve how people move through the park and the neighborhood, and bring more of what the community wants to the park. This includes places to gather, play, and relax with family and friends; more trees and green spaces; and places to support local vendors and businesses. In survey 1, which we conducted from April to June 2025, we asked the MacArthur Park community about their relationship to the park and their hopes for its future — you can view those results here. Now, in survey 2, we are asking for your thoughts on three possible options to reimagine Wilshire Boulevard through MacArthur Park and the Westlake neighborhood. We are evaluating the options based on benefits, tradeoffs, feasibility, and community priorities expressed in survey 1.Please take a few minutes to review the drawings of potential changes to Wilshire, read the summary of benefits and trade-offs, and share your feedback!
