Survey for Approaches to Teaching the Works of Margaret Atwood

Edited by Lauren Rule Maxwell

This survey is designed to gather information about the methods and materials used by today’s instructors when teaching works by Margaret Atwood. The MLA published Approaches to Teaching Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale and Other Works in 1996; this volume aims to explore both the teaching of Atwood’s publications since that time and new approaches to teaching The Handmaid’s Tale that draw on the Hulu TV series; the graphic novel; or The Testaments, its sequel.

Respondents are invited to provide concrete answers to the questions related to their teaching and are also encouraged to submit a proposal for a contribution to the volume. Proposals and survey responses are due 31 August 2020, after which the survey will no longer be available.

Please answer the questions on the form below and click Done when you are finished. If you wish to submit an essay proposal for the volume, please see item 16 at the end of the survey for requirements.

Thank you for helping develop this important project.
