· This questionnaire must be fully completed by an authorized representative of each participating organization.

· An incomplete questionnaire will result in a disqualification.

About the CIPM

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) was established in 1968 and is Nigeria’s apex regulatory body for Human Resource Management practice in Nigeria, empowered by Act 58 of 1992. Our Vision is to be the foremost People Management and Organizational Development Institute in Africa, respected across the World.

We have a specific mandate to:

(i) Regulate, monitor, and control the Human Resource profession in all its ramifications;

(ii) Determine the standards of knowledge and skills to be attained by persons seeking to become registered as Human Resource Practitioners, and to ensure continued alignment of the standards with best practice from time to time;

(iii) Provide support for the continued professional development of people management practitioners.

As the Apex regulatory Body, the CIPM strives to positively transform, develop and sustain professional excellence in HRM practice.

THE BEST PRACTICE AWARDS

Objectives:

1.       Strengthen awareness, knowledge and understanding of best-in-class, ‘glocalised’, HR Standards of Practice.

2.       Encourage the entrenchment of these HR Standards of Practice amongst Professionals of varied backgrounds, and particularly, HR Practitioners.

3.      Provide a mirror for reviewing current levels of performance via periodic assessment against those Standards.

4.      Recognize Organisations and Individuals that demonstrate significantly high levels of alignment with best-in-class HR Standards.

5.      Leverage assessment information & results as input to Individual and Organisational Development interventions.

6.      Celebrate HR as the nerve centre for organisational success through the effective deployment, management and development of People as the greatest assets.

7.      Showcase successful initiatives in participating Organisations.
