Introduction

In November 2021 Alpine Shire Council declared a Climate Emergency, recognising the vulnerability of the region’s natural and built environment, economic prosperity and health of the community to climate change.
 
As part of the Climate Emergency declaration, Council committed resources to developing a roadmap for Community Climate Action. The objective of the Roadmap is to inform the future development of a Community Climate Action Plan, which will support the community to reduce its emissions and adapt to a changing climate.
 
Council is developing the Roadmap with assistance from HIP V. HYPE Sustainability. As part of our stakeholder engagement, we are looking forward to getting community perspectives on climate action in Alpine Shire.

Sharing your thoughts through this survey will help to:
  • Identify climate action opportunity areas and community priorities
  • Identify challenges and opportunities for community action

These insights will help inform the development of the Roadmap in the next stage of this project.
