Dear Resident,

One of the most important tasks of the Town of Mamaroneck government is to protect the safety and well-being of all our residents. The Town prides itself on the level of service provided by the Police, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.

Currently, the focus throughout New York State and the entire country is on local police departments, their mission of providing public safety and their relationship with the community.  The Ad-Hoc Taskforce on Racial Equity is spearheading an effort to reach out to residents to learn about your experiences with the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department, hear your suggestions on how they can improve their service to the community and your opinions on how they conduct their mission. We have designed this survey to get your input, which we value greatly. 

As mandated by Governor Cuomo in Executive Order 203, we will use the results of the survey and public meetings to recommend changes to the operations of the police department to the Town Board.  The public meetings, which will allow us to listen and gather community input, will be held on Thursday, December 17th and Monday, February 8th.  You can find more information on the Town of Mamaroneck’s website (www.TownofMamaroneckny.org).
