TRAIN - Teen Risk For Anxiety Investigated Through Neuroscience at Florida State University
The Clinical Psychophysiology and Risk Lab at Florida State University is conducting a research study examining anxiety in youth (ages 11-14). The study involves visiting our laboratory at the Florida State University Psychology Building – where both you and your adolescent would answer questions using both interviews and computer surveys. These questions would be about the ways that you and your adolescent feel, changes your adolescent may be experiencing, etc. In addition, we will record your adolescent’s brain activity during some computer-based tasks, using EEG. All of these recordings are completely painless and safe. The visit will last between 3 and 4 hours, depending on the number of specific tasks you and your child are selected to participate in. As compensation for your help, we will pay an honorarium of $20 per hour. Also, your adolescent will have an opportunity to win up to $120 in bonus earnings.
