About the Finance Committee
The Finance Committee provides general oversight and direction regarding the financial and budgetary aspects of the Association and MLS operations. The Finance Committee reviews quarterly and end of year financial statements, makes recommended changes to the Board of Directors regarding the fiscal health of the Association and/or MLS, and reviews and recommends an annual budget to the Board of Directors. In addition, the Finance Committee reviews and makes recommendations to change the policy and procedures manual of CCIAOR/CCIMLS.
Group Composition
There are 7 members of the Finance Committee with the CCIAOR/CCIMLS Secretary/Treasurer serving as the committee chair. Members are appointed for a three-year term. To be eligible, you can not currently serve on the Board of Directors.
Time Commitment
The Finance Committee meets 4 to 8 times per year with meeting dates set by the Finance Committee Chair.

* 3. GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE
About the Grievance Committee
The Grievance Committee conducts a preliminary review of professional standards disciplinary complaints to determine whether the complaint should be forwarded to a Hearing Panel of the Professional Standards Committee. The committee does not hear the case but instead determines whether to recommend a hearing. In addition, the Grievance Committee serves as the Citation Committee for citable offenses per the CCIAOR Citation Policy.
Group Composition
9 member committee with 3 alternates. Members are appointed to serve a three-year term. New members to the Grievance Committee must be able to attend a Professional Standards training on January 7th, 2020 from 9 AM to 1 PM to be able to serve.
Time Commitment:
The Grievance Committee meets monthly as needed to process the complaints received.

* 4. COMMUNITY & MEMBER ENGAGEMENT GROUP
About the Community & Member Engagement Group
The Community and Member Engagement Group plans and participates in community service and outreach initiatives that further the mission and strategic plan of CCIAOR and positions REALTORS® as integral to the community. Additionally, the group helps encourage member engagement across demographic groups and geographic areas to strengthen member involvement with the Association.
Group Composition
10 to 15 CCIAOR members and affiliates make up this group and each can serve for 1 year or stay on for several. Lower/Outer Cape members are especially encouraged to apply to help us increase our community presence and member engagement in these areas of the Cape.
Time Commitment:
Monthly 1-hour meetings as well as participation and involvement in events planned by the group. Members are asked to commit to attending at least 75% of meetings throughout the year.

About the Government Affairs Group
As our advocacy efforts grow, we need a group of REALTORS who are knowledgeable and have a keen interest in how real estate and public policy intersect in areas such as zoning bylaws, land use regulations and affordable housing. The composition and meeting schedule for this group is still to be determined, but if you are interested in getting involved, please indicate below and we will reach out to you when we move forward.

* 6. MLS ADVISORY GROUP
About the MLS Advisory Group
The role of the MLS Advisory Group is to advise CCIMLS staff and the Board of Directors on issues related to rules, data integrity and products to ensure more accurate data, better cooperation among participants, and better products provided to the participants and subscribers of CCIMLS; while making the goals of the MLS a priority.
Group Composition
10 to 12 CCIMLS members make up this group and each can serve for 1 year or stay on for several. We are looking for a dynamic group representing out members across Cape Cod. 
Time Commitment:  6 to 8 meetings per year. Meetings are generally 1.5 hours.

* 7. MAR Volunteer Opportunities 
MAR Board of Directors 
Directors of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) are CCIAOR members’ voice and vote on state-level issues and business matters, including legislative policy and positions, funding for new and existing MAR programs and services, and other important decisions that affect CCIAOR and its members. State directors shall serve for a term of two years, beginning on January 1 of the year following their election.
Time Commitment
Attend MAR Director Meetings (2-3 per year in May, September, and December) at the MAR offices. Attend any local MAR Director Caucuses for Cape Cod Region as scheduled.
MAR Forms Committee
The Forms Content Advisory Committee monitors and advises the MAR attorneys regarding content revisions to MassForms™. The Committee discusses and implements revisions to existing forms, as well as creating new forms, when necessary. The Committee's goal is to ensure that the MAR Forms Library contains accurate, up-to-date, necessary forms to assist REALTORS throughout a real estate transaction.
Time Commitment
Approximately three meetings per year at the MAR Offices (calling into meetings is acceptable).
MAR Government Affairs Committee
The charge of the Government Affairs Committee shall be to review current legislative and regulatory issues. The Committee is authorized to make decisions with MAR professional staff regarding MAR positions on regulatory and legislative issues pursuant to the MAR Public Policy Statement. The Committee shall oversee the Private Property Protection Fund to the extent authorized in the Fund's guidelines. MAR's Government Affairs Committee reviews current legislative and regulatory issues and provides input and strategic advice to MAR leadership and staff.
Time Commitment
Approximately five meetings per year at the MAR Offices (calling into meetings is acceptable).
