Have your say on alcohol-free zones and vehicle bans at Castlepoint and Riversdale Beach

Spending New Years at the beach is a classic kiwi tradition. To make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time, Masterton District Council implements alcohol-free zones and vehicle bans on some of the most popular days.

For the 2018-19 holiday period we decided to implement alcohol-free zones at both Castlepoint and Riversdale Beach from 6pm on 30 December until 6am on 1 January. We also decided vehicles would be banned from 4pm on 31 December until 6am on 1 January.

We are keen to hear your thoughts on whether these bans are effective, or whether you think we should make some changes.
