* 3. 1.       We anticipate a large number of ideas for sustainability strategies throughout the planning process and public meetings.  Considering limited resources and fiscal responsibility, we will need to focus the Plan to a select number of strategies in the short-term.  The City has developed twelve focus areas and associated goals for the Sustainability Plan, and we’d like to hear from you about which are the most important.  

Please take a few minutes to review the twelve focus areas below and assign a scale of importance for EACH area. Scale each from 1-5 with 1 meaning low importance and 5 meaning high importance.

G. Ecosystems and Open Space- Protect and manage open space in the community while taking precautions to protect existing habitats.
H. Waste Management– Further strategies including diversion, reuse, recycling and energy producing disposal options
I. Green Building/Sustainable Site Management– support green building and sustainable site management within the community through education, incentives, and policies
J. Involve the community and stakeholders– Involve community and stakeholders in development and implementation of sustainability planning and activities

* 5. The City will be considering many ideas for sustainability strategies in public facilities and the community. Strategies can include specific projects, community programs, policy changes, educational initiatives, or other ideas.  Please share your ideas with us – please include as much detail as possible.
