They are a voting member on all issues except election of new Board members. Depending on the public member’s interest and expertise, they may work on a committee focused on specific areas – for example, diversity, finance, or certificate review.

Nominations must be submitted before March 31, 2023. The current Board of Directors will vote on final nominees at their June 2023 meeting. The new term for the public member and all other new board members is July 1, 2023. Orientation materials will be provided  before the first Board meeting of the new term, which will be a virtual session on Wednesday, September 6 at 8 pm eastern.
