Chapter Application Information

SHPE is delighted that your group is interested in joining the SHPE familia. You have taken the first steps towards building a successful network in which members can thrive while empowering the Hispanic community and creating a positive global impact. 

Make sure to review the New Chapter Application Kit and Chapter Resources page to find information on the requirements to start a chapter and the required documents.

Please note that you are not able to save your progress on this chapter application so make sure to review the requirements listed in detail in the New Chapter Kit before starting. 

You must have ten paid members in SHPE Connect and their SHPE member ID numbers.

Chapter Application Review Process:
New chapter applications will be reviewed by SHPE monthly. You will receive feedback on your application and next steps after each review period.  
 
To complete the Junior Chapter Application you will need:
1. Chapter Information: Chapter Name, Region, Email, Website, and number of members. 

2. School Information: School Name, Address, Phone Number, Academic Term System, Beginning and Ending Month of Academic Year

3. Chapter Leadership: Board information (Name, Email, SHPE ID Number)

4. Chapter Advisor Information: Name, Title, Email, Phone Number

5. Optional- Sponsoring Chapter Information: Chapter Name, Chapter Representative name, number, email

6. Documents to be submitted: Jr Chapter Bylaws, School Agreement, Member Info 

To complete the Student Chapter Application you will need:
1. Chapter Information: Chapter Name, Region, Email, Website, and number of members. 

2. School Information: School Name, Address, Phone Number, Academic Term System, Beginning and Ending Month of Academic Year

3. Chapter Leadership: Board information (Name, Email, SHPE ID Number)

4. Chapter Advisor Information: Name, Title, Email, Phone Number

5. Documents to be submitted: Student Chapter Bylaws, School Agreement, Member Info 

To complete the Professional Chapter Application you will need:
1. Chapter Information: Chapter Name, Region, Email, Website, and number of members. 

2. Chapter Leadership: Board information (Name, Email, SHPE ID Number)

3.(Optional) Chapter Advisor Information: Name, Title, Email, Phone Number

4. Documents to be submitted: Professional Chapter Bylaws,  Member Info
