Anne Holland Ventures Inc., the parent company of Marijuana Business Daily, is the leading industry trade publication for serious entrepreneurs, cultivators, and investors in the legal cannabis industry.   The role will have involvement in all trade shows, business directories and other associated properties that may arise. We are looking for a superstar database manager who has a general understanding of market segmentation and strong experience in Salesforce development, data management and custom reporting for use by the sales and marketing team.  The role supports the marketing, customer service, and sales teams’ efforts to grow Marijuana Business Daily’s magazine, resource books, and trade show programs nationwide. 

This position requires at least two or more years of agency account service experience on regional or national accounts or equivalent marketing experience in trade shows, advertising, and/or social media program development and several years of Salesforce data management and reporting.  This position interacts primarily with internal clients and requires an understanding of marketing process and segmentation using the Salesforce platform.  Successful candidates require a positive demeanor, a desire to collaborate with others, and an ability to make frequent adjustments in a fast moving and growing industry.

Tasks:
  • Manage selection of weekly e-mail marketing audiences and monthly magazine recipient lists for both digital and print versions.
  • Update and maintain databases.
  • Maintain and develop salesforce reports to reflect accurate CRM data and purchase behavior of clients, customers, and prospects.
  • Help inform sales opportunity identification and results tracking. 
  • Help customer service teams deliver timely customer relationship messaging.
  • Development of semi-custom Salesforce and other CRM related tools.
  • Help update and refresh marketing related web site content and other online marketing tools.
  • Other tasks as needed and assigned related to Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales.

Required Skills:
  • Highly attuned attention to detail.
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Experience with the Salesforce platforms, development and customization and reports.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • A basic familiarity with updating WordPress sites with back end WordPress tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Experience with managing project and creative development timelines for direct, online and traditional marketing, sales and CRM calendars.
  • Familiarity and hands hands-on experience with e-mail marketing and direct mail campaigns in a B2B context.
  • While knowledge of the legal Cannabis cannabis industry is very helpful, it is not required for the right candidate. 
  • Salesforce certifications in the administrative, cloud, or implementation areas would all be viewed as highly beneficial.
