The Second Vice President is an Officer of the NEHA Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee. The position carries a five-year term through the officer succession:
Second Vice President: 2027–2028
First Vice President: 2028–2029
President-Elect: 2029–2030
President: 2030–2031
Immediate Past President: 2031–2032

Deadline and timeline
Applications and attachments are due December 1, 2026, at 11:45 p.m. MT. The Board's Governance & Nominations Committee reviews each application against the candidacy criteria; qualified candidates are placed on the ballot for the election held March 1–31, 2027. The successful candidate begins the term at the 2027 Annual Educational Conference & Exhibition (AEC).
