• Systematically and effectively identify and manage hazards prior to applying CPR to the cardiac arrest patient in the general practice
• Safely manage the airway of an unconscious patient using carrier devices and techniques set out in the ARC guidelines
• Demonstrate the safe application of CPR procedures including competence in the delivery of ventilations and compressions
