Your response to the survey is very important to us and your views will be used to assist us in developing the final Good Neighbourhood Management Policy.
Development of the Policy

This policy has been developed following the Housing Ombudsman’s Spotlight on Noise Complaints report entitled “Time to be Heard” which found that most noise complaints received by Registered Social Landlords involved normal living noise such as footsteps and washing machines etc rather than deliberate anti-social behaviour, yet landlords were routinely treating them as hostile behaviour which lead to a high percentage of maladministration.

One of the key recommendations from this report was that Landlords should have a separate Good Neighbourhood policy to deal with these kind of complaints rather than defaulting to anti-social behaviour frameworks.
1.Do you agree that this should be the case?
2.Does the draft policy make it clear the types of behaviour which it covers and the difference between this behaviour and anti-social behaviour.
3.Does the draft policy make it clear how the Association will attempt to resolve complaints under this policy?
4.Does the draft policy manage expectations and make it clear that there may be circumstances where we may be limited in the solutions that we can offer?
5.Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. If you have any further comments to make please provide them in the box below.
