Saskatchewan Book Awards Survey 2018

On April 28, 2018, the Saskatchewan Book Awards celebrated 25 years of excellence in writing and publishing in Saskatchewan at its annual Awards Ceremony. We would like to collect some feedback about the event in order to continue to improve your experience.   

* 1. How did you find out about the 25th Saskatchewan Book Awards Ceremony? (Please check all that apply)

* 4. The ticket price for the Awards Ceremony has historically fluctuated from year to year. The Awards Ceremony began breaking even last year as a result of increased ticket prices. In 2018, the early bird ticket price was set at $75 per person, and the regular ticket price at $100. How do you feel about the ticket prices?

* 5. The Master of Ceremonies has been different each year for the last four years. Would you like to see SBA continue to explore a variety of MCs in the future?

* 6. The award presentations were accompanied by an audio-visual presentation that included the names and cover images of shortlisted titles, along with a voice-over component. How did you feel about the audio-visual presentation?

* 7. A silent auction was offered at the 25th Awards Ceremony, featuring items from local businesses. Did you enjoy the silent auction, and would you like to see it come back in 2019?

* 8. Kara Golemba was this year's featured musician at the Awards Ceremony. Would you like to see more musicians featured at the Awards Ceremony?

SBA currently presents 14 awards: Book of the Year, First Book, Poetry, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Scholarly Writing, Indigenous Peoples' Writing, Regina Book, Saskatoon Book, Children's Literature/Young Adult Literature (presented on alternating years), Publishing, Publishing in Education, Indigenous Peoples' Publishing, and the Prix du livre français (offered every other year).  How do you feel about the number and variety of awards SBA offers?
