2025 WMP Mentee Application Form

This form is an application into the 2025 Business School Women's Mentoring Programme, He Ira Wāhine . Please take time to answer each question, because part of the selection is based on the quality of your answers. Answer honestly, do not answer how you think we want you to!
Note: if you are accepted onto the programme, your application form will be shared with your mentor.

By completing this form it is assumed that you are willing and able to take part in the 2025 Women's Mentoring Programme, He Ira Wāhine. Please note, this programme is only open to women BCom and BCom conjoint, (or BProp and BProp Conjoint) undergraduate students who have completed at least one year of study, and are going into their penultimate or final year of study in March 2025. BCom(Hons) and BProp(Hons) students are also invited to apply. It is not open to other postgraduate/masters students, or students here on exchange. Mentees on the programme need to be based in Auckland and enrolled in courses for the duration of the programme. If you are going on exchange in 2025, you will not be eligible to apply. If you have previously been a mentee on this programme, you are not able to apply again.

If you are enrolled in a conjoint degree with Law, you are able to apply for both the Business and Law Women's Mentoring Programmes, but you can only be accepted into one of the programmes - this will be based on the best mentor match for you.

We recommend participants meet up with their mentors once a month, outside of the on-campus events, with a minimum of four face-to-face meetings throughout the year. The programme runs during the academic year, from March to October. We provide monthly topics of discussion and resources to help drive discussion.

You must be willing to commit to the programme and be able to attend evening events. There are approximately eight events for mentees throughout the year, including a briefing session, a programme launch event with all participants in March, special guest speaker, panel, and networking events, and a final closing celebration in September. You can read more about the programme here.

If there are Covid restrictions in place, events and meetings with your mentor will be moved online.
