Data Protection – Privacy Protection Notice

We, the Jersey charity Liberate (AJC No. 459), are asking all interested Channel Islanders to assist in a research project that will provide us with information about what work, if any, needs to be done in the islands to provide more support for those living with HIV/AIDS. The purpose of the survey is to establish a broad picture of the current situation. We are not seeking individual stories/examples from the survey data.

For this reason, all survey responses are anonymous and completely confidential and are returned to Liberate directly. We will not share individual responses publicly. However, summarised data, where individual answers cannot be identified, and that can provide a picture of the situation in the islands will be made public.

We will not pass the unsummarised results of the survey to any third parties or use the data generated from the survey for any other purpose than that described above.

Because of the subject matter being researched by us, the survey asks you for information that is classed as sensitive personal data or special category data, such as your health and sexual orientation. Even though your response is anonymous, if you still do not wish to share particular sensitive data with Liberate, the survey always provides respondents an “Other” option where you can state “Prefer not to say” or similar.

If you have any queries or concerns about completing this survey or about data protection, please email vic@liberate.je. Any queries or concerns you raise will remain confidential to Liberate.

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you for your participation. We hope you enjoy the experience.
