Kids’ Orchestra is a registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that has been providing an enriching after-school music program for 10 years in the Baton Rouge area. The cost to put each child through our site-based program (Audubon, BR FLAIM, Dufrocq, LaSalle, WHAM) is approximately $1,600 per child per year.  The funding to cover that cost comes from donors, foundations, grants, and tuition.  We work hard every day to keep the tuition affordable for all families. The amount that we ask each family to pay is based on household income (see information below). 

Household income must be verified using the KO Scholarship Application. Scholarship Applications must be received by October 1 of each year that your child is enrolled in Kids’ Orchestra.  If your child enrolls after October 1, the Scholarship Application must be received within 5 days of submitting your application to join Kids’ Orchestra.

If a scholarship application is not received by the dates above, your tuition will be billed at the full amount. In addition, if your scholarship application is submitted after you make a tuition payment, any scholarships awarded will only be applied to future invoices.

All tuition will be invoiced in 8 equal monthly installments starting in October and ending in May. Tuition will post to your account on the first of each month and will be considered late on the 15th of each month. A $5 late fee will be assessed for late payments.

Family Tuition Responsibility
In addition to scholarships, families with multiple students enrolled will receive additional discounts of 10-20%.

> Recent tax return.
> Recent W2.
> SSI benefit verification letter.
> One (1) full month of recent paychecks for all adult members of the household.
