Satisfaction Survey - 2022/23
Seeking responses from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023
The Public Advocate and Children and Young People Commissioner (PACYPC) is committed to pursuing a supportive and caring community where the rights and interests of people experiencing vulnerability are protected.
The PACYPC advocates for individuals and at a systems level to encourage and facilitate positive changes (for example, service improvements) that lead to improved outcomes for people experiencing vulnerability.
We know the COVID-19 pandemic has generated additional challenges for many members of our ACT community, particularly those already experiencing vulnerability. The PACYPC has strived to maintain our responsiveness throughout this time but acknowledge that increasing levels of demand may have impacted our capacity. We would like to reassure you, however, that we remain available, and encourage members of the community to contact us if they require assistance to ensure their rights are upheld.
We advocate for children, young people and adults experiencing vulnerability by: • providing accessible information to help people understand their rights,
• making sure we understand the concern being raised, • finding out what the person thinks needs to happen to address their concern, • working together with the person and others to generate effective and sustainable solutions, and • promoting and encouraging improvements in facilities, services and systems.
We are committed to advocating in a manner that is rights-focussed, respectful, responsive, and recognisant of diversity.
The PACYPC also has statutory oversight and compliance monitoring roles in the child protection, youth justice, mental health and complex disability support systems.
Given the contact you have had with staff from the PACYPC, we would greatly appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey below, which consists of four brief rating-style questions followed by an opportunity to provide explanatory comments. It should take less than 5 minutes to complete this survey.
The survey is designed to be anonymous, however if you wish to identify yourself in your comments, please feel free to do so. Responses will be collated however, in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2014 (ACT), and individuals will not be identified.
The information that you provide will be used to assess and improve the services offered by the PACYPC, while also enabling us to report on our performance.
