Wrentham Community Resilience - Seed Project Survey The Town of Wrentham was awarded a Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness 2.0 grant (MVP 2.0), which is a grant designed to help municipalities become more resilient against risks like flooding, extreme heat, and severe storms. After gathering feedback from the Wrentham Community, the Core Team (made up of Town staff and current residents) have reflected on what priorities and needs the Town residents have. With this information, the Core Team has come up with potential Seed Project ideas. We want your feedback to determine how each project could most benefit you.If you have any questions or need help completing this survey, please reach out to Audrey Matthews at amatthews@srpedd.org or visit the project page at www.srpedd.org/wrenthammvp2 Potential Project #1: Tree Assessment Plan This project would invest in the identification of dead or dangerous trees in the community, as well as identify opportunities where planting new trees would improve community resilience. This project supports climate resilience by reducing fallen trees and branches that often cause power-outages, blocked roads, and fire hazards, meanwhile also increasing climate resilience against extreme heat and flooding / stormwater runoff through the planting of new trees. Potential Project #2: Upgrading Communications System / Multi-Channel Alerts This project would focus on expanding the Town's emergency notification system and improve awareness around the current emergency notification system, Nixle. This process would enable the Town to assist residents in signing up for the current Nixle system, as well as expand hazard alerts into additional digital and non‑digital channels. This project supports climate resilience by ensuring people who are offline, less tech‑comfortable, or new to preparedness, still receive timely, actionable guidance before, during, and after extreme events. Question Title * 1. Given the descriptions above, please select which project you feel would be most beneficial. (Required.)
