The Nominating committee is chaired by the Immediate Past President and comprised of the current President, President-Elect and a selection of AAM members. The Immediate Past President and President-Elect will have non-voting roles on this committee.

The current AAM Board consists of six members in an executive role (President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary Treasurer and Immediate Past-President) and eleven Members-at-Large.

We encourage you to review the criteria and consider entering your name -- or the name of someone you believe will be an excellent addition to AAM’s leadership.

Board members must:
• Demonstrate commitment to the vision and mission of the organization
• Make decisions in the best interests of the members.
• Be an AAM member in good standing for a minimum of three years.
• Have professional work experience with an understanding of business and financial matters.
• Have served on an AAM committee for a minimum of two years.
• Be available to participate in monthly Board meeting calls, an annual planning retreat, conference and any assigned committees.
• Commit to the time required to discharge Board duties outside of the Board calls.
• Be willing to deal directly with difficult issues, as needed.
• Have not served on the board during the prior two terms.

Officers must:
• Meet all criteria above.
• Have served one two-year term on the board of directors.
• Be executive-level members with the exception of the secretary and treasurer position which may be held by executive or affiliate members.
• Participate in any executive committee meetings.
• Commit to leading the board and the association now and in the future.

Nominations should be submitted by Thursday, April 13, 2017, 8 PM Eastern.
