Request for Input: Christina Community Survey to Inform Academic Return on Investment (A-ROI) Project

The Christina School District (Christina) is partnering with WestEd, a nonpartisan research, development, and service agency, on a project that will help the district better understand how the district’s investments are helping to improve student outcomes. In order to do this, the project team is conducting a pilot study that pairs information about program effectiveness with program cost to determine what is sometimes referred to as a program’s academic return on investment (A-ROI).

The goal of this study is to provide Christina with additional information about the district's programs to help guide decision making and ensure that Christina is achieving the best possible outcomes for students at a sustainable cost. The results of this work will help Christina decide whether to expand, change, or continue programs based on data. The study will also allow the district to identify cost effective programs and opportunities to use funds to better support students.

Your input at the start of the process is critical to helping the district prioritize which programs to focus on in the study. This survey is intended to collect your initial thoughts on the overall focus of this study, as well as help the team identify which programs might be well-suited for the pilot in the fall of 2025. The district hopes that the community will remain engaged throughout the project and plans to share project findings and solicit additional feedback on next steps.
