Paraphrase Research

The purpose of this study is to analyse different paraphrases of a certain text with a view of identifying a number of structural patterns. Participation is completely optional and will not have any influence on your professional or personal life. Your name and details will be kept confidential, and only people directly involved in the study will know who has participated, if required. In order to complete the task, you will be asked to read and paraphrase a short paragraph, without copying the original version, and without assistance. After completing the paraphrase, you will be asked to complete a short demographic survey. In completing the task, you agree that your work can be used for research purposes. After completion of the research, you will be provided with a copy of the research paper, if so requested. If you are unhappy with how your contribution has been used, your comments will be added to the paper, if possible, or your data will be removed.

 

For every 50 legitimate responses received, there will be a prize draw for £50 worth of vouchers. In order to be eligible for the prize draw, respondents are requested to leave their email addresses at the end of the survey.
