Marijuana Business Daily (MJBizDaily), since 2011 the best-known producer of B2B news and trade shows serving executives and major investors in America's $6 billion cannabis industry, is seeking a Marketing Account Coordinator to aid in the project management and development of marketing tactics for MJBizDaily and our family of events including MJBizCon, NEXT, and MJBizConINT’L.  Your help in coordinating internal marketing resources and deploying daily approved marketing communications will help fuel the MJBizDaily marketing machine.

Day to Day Job Description:
  • Help manage in-house creative development for Marijuana Business Magazine and the Marijuana Business Conference and Expo events’ advertising, direct mail, email, and other associated marketing efforts.
  • Help manage deployment of weekly email marketing schedules.
  • Work with Marijuana Business Daily vendors.
  • Manage marketing fulfillment of trade/barter contracts with industry partners. 
  • Help develop and deploy MJBizDaily’s social media strategy for conference and resource book awareness and engagement with an emphasis on driving key performance indicators.
  • Help update and refresh marketing related web site content and other online marketing tools on a weekly basis.  

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of agency account service experience on regional or national accounts or equivalent marketing experience in trade shows, advertising, and/or media program development and tactical project management.
  • Demonstrated experience with marketing processes in on and offline arenas.
  • Systems: Microsoft Office, Salesforce and other common marketing CRM reporting is highly desirable.A basic familiarity with updating WordPress sites using plug-ins.
  • Experience managing project and creative development timelines for direct, online and traditional advertising calendars.
  • Familiarity and hands on experience with e-mail marketing and direct mail campaigns in a B2B context.
  • Moderate to high understanding of SEO and SEM optimization.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • While knowledge of the legal Cannabis industry is sometimes helpful, it is not required for the right candidate.
