Voices of Hope is seeking a full-time Barrier Relief Assistant for the University of Kentucky HEALing Communities grant.  A Transportation and Housing assistant assists the Program Coordinator in documentation, perform administrative duties such as answering phone and email, filing, managing schedules, and filling in as a substitute transportation driver when needed.

The ideal person will be enthusiastic, extremely well organized, able to follow protocol, and work well independently and collaboratively.  Experience working in an office environment, assisting with logistics, maintaining records, and have the ability to travel across multiple counties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Collect data and create reports for program data.
  • Creation of a Transportation route and maintain changes throughout the day.
  • Receiving, reviewing, and organizing all requests for Housing/Transportation/MOUD barrier relief.
  • Submit all requests to Program Coordinator for final review and approval.
  • Maintaining a familiarity with all project related SOPs and adhering to all policies.
  • Ordering/delivering/logging phone distribution through barrier relief fund.
  • Making all on-site payments for housing requests.
  • Coordinating the ordering and delivery of all gas cards.
  • Maintaining the transportation waitlist.
  • Assist with generating grant reports for the community coalition, HEAL team, and community stakeholders as needed.
  • Ensure project adheres to frameworks and protocols and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
  • Track and maintain process and outcome data on HEAL initiatives for the purposes of continuous monitoring and evaluation.
  • Undertake project tasks as required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong work ethic, emphasis on attention to detail, and positive attitude.
  • Analytical problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and short deadlines·       
  • Ability to record data and complete documentation within established guidelines.
  • Willing and available to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and uphold cultural humility principles
Requirements
  • Associate degree
  • Experience in an office setting
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, attentive, and ability follow through
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and ability to learn new applications and software
Hours
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours is required; early mornings and weekends are possible

Travel
  • Reliable transportation is required
