IILA Afghan Legal Representation Project (Non-Legal Volunteers) |
Volunteer Sign-Up for Non-Legal Volunteers and Dari/Pashto Speakers
The Afghan Legal Representation Project is an initiative of IILA to match Afghan evacuees with legal professionals and non-legal volunteers to assist with their immigration-related applications.
Please complete this form if you are interested in providing volunteer services to Afghan evacuees and potentially asylum seekers from other countries. This is intended for use by non-legal volunteers who can provide assistance to Afghans who are applying for asylum, Special Immigrant Visa, and other legal procedures and applications. Tasks may include helping families fill out applications, translating documents and responses from Dari/Pashto to English, proof-reading documents, helping families understand timelines and requirements, transporting clients to interviews and appointments, and other non-legal tasks.
We are anticipating matching clients with volunteers in June/July 2022.
If you are a legal professional or law student, please fill out the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RD2NHXH
