The Senior Citizen Hall of Fame honors older adults in Direction Home Aging and Disabilities’ four-county service area who have made significant contributions to their communities through their voluntary service and/or achievements.

Since its inception in 1990, we have honored several outstanding older adults from Portage, Stark, Summit, and Wayne Counties who exemplify aging well. Each year, one senior from Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne County is chosen to receive the Senior Citizen Hall of Fame award.  We look to our providers, senior organizations, and communities to nominate older adults that present a positive image of aging.
