Procrastination and Me:
Predictors and Consequences of Procrastination and Deliberate Delay
Study Description and Consent

Purpose
You are being asked to participate in a student research project conducted for a research methods class at Western Illinois University. You will be asked to complete an online survey that should take less than 25 minutes. The survey will include questions about how often and under what circumstances you procrastinate and a variety of other factors that could be involved with procrastination. More specifically, you will be asked about your experiences with athletics and head injuries, social media use, memories for how you were parented growing up, your personality, interpersonal relationships, and mental health.

Benefits and Risks
Completing this survey may give you a better understanding of how procrastination and deliberate delay affects you and your life. In addition, you will be assisting the students as they complete their class research project, as well as other researchers who do not currently know a lot about how deliberate delay differs from procrastination. The risks of this study are minimal and similar to those you would encounter in typical normal, daily activities. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable with any question or part of the survey you may skip it, and you may withdraw your participation at any time.

All data will be completely anonymous. No direct identifying information will be collected. Demographic characteristics will only be used to combine responses from people who share similar characteristics.
