The California JPIA is awarding a limited number of Forum scholarships for lodging costs while attending the Forum.  These scholarships are meant to assist members who are otherwise unable to attend the Forum due to financial constraints at their agencies.

The Executive Committee has approved these scholarships to cover two nights of lodging at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort Hotel during the Risk Management Educational Forum.

Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis.  Priority will generally be given to first-time Forum attendees who would like to learn about applicable risk management best practices and tools to implement back at their agencies.

To be eligible for a Forum scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an employee of a member agency of the California JPIA.
  • Obtain supervisor or management approval to attend the Forum.
  • Attend the Forum in its entirety (October 5 - 7, 2022).
  • Be able to pay for miscellaneous costs, including transportation to and from the Forum.

The deadline to apply is June 17, 2022.
