* # 1 - In January of 2025, Indiana jumped to 6th in the nation in both 4th grade and 8th grade reading scores. This comes after legislative action specifically aimed at ensuring that all of our children are able to read. In 2025, the legislature passed legislation focusing on improving math scores. Do you believe that the Indiana legislature is properly focusing on core educational outcomes for our students?

* # 2 - In 2023, the legislature created Career Scholarship Accounts to help students access learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom. Over the past 2 years, the legislature has expanded these opportunities including more options for trade-based education. With these new pathways available, do you believe our K–12 education system is moving in the right direction to prepare students for the futures they want—whether that’s college, entering the workforce, or pursuing specialized training?

Some of those policies have included cutting out middlemen to ensure that Hoosiers pay less for prescription medication, holding nonprofit hospitals accountable for rising costs that they have control over, and eliminating non-compete clauses for physicians to create more competition in the workplace. Do you support these efforts by the legislature, and would you like to see the legislature continue to make practical moves to improve patient affordability and options in healthcare?
