Introduction

Under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the Nursing Council (the Council) is responsible for accrediting nursing education providers and programmes. The Council sets education standards to support design and delivery of programmes and monitors them to ensure they continue to meet the standards.

In this consultation, the Council is seeking views on proposed changes to the EN education standards to reflect changes in the revised EN scope.
 
As a result of the proposed changes to the EN standards, there are also minor changes to the RN education standards.
