The 2019 Retention and Recruitment Award is a joint venture of the Volunteer & Combination Officers Section of the IAFC and VFIS. The award recognizes success and excellence in the retention and recruitment of emergency service organization members.
Award Criteria: The award is presented to a department that has demonstrated positive results to a comprehensive approach to retaining and recruiting members during the period June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019. You do NOT need to be an IAFC member to apply. Only fire & emergency service organizations can apply for this award.
The organization selected as the winner of the award will have all transportation and hotel expenses paid by VFIS for one member of the organization to attend Symposium in the Sun and VCOS will pay for that member's conference registration.
Applications are due by August 23, 2019.
The award will be presented at the 2019 VCOS Symposium in the Sun, November 14-17 in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
