In partnership with Victorian youth music organisation, The Push, Grampians Music Festival (GMF) presents an opportunity for emerging electronic producers from regional Victoria to headline the opening night of GMF on Friday 15th February 2019.  


The first ever Regional Electronic Producer Competition will provide an opportunity for emerging electronic producers originating in regional Victoria to play live in front of over 1,000 punters, and alongside some of the country’s best new musical talent, including Sampa The Great, Angie McMahon, Slum Sociable, Wafia, Alice Skye, Body Type and many more.


Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges comprising of The Push Freeza Push Start Coordinator Memphis LK, Bendigo born bedroom pop producer, yergurl, GMF Festival Director, Carly Flecknoe and GMF Program Producer, Juliette Lalli.


To provide further opportunities for regional Victorian locals, Grampians Music Festival will again present the Regional DJ Competition, allowing one winning DJ to kick off the festival Sunday, plating a 1 hour set on Sunday 17th of February, and between sets on the GMF main stage on Saturday 16th of February.

THE PRIZE


Electronic Producer Competition:

A 1 hour headline set on the opening ‘Best in the West’ night of Grampians Music Festival, Friday 15th February 2019 and a VIP ticket package for the winner and a friend.


DJ Competition:

A 1 hour set to kick off the Sunday program on Sunday 17th of February and the opportunity to play between sets on Saturday 16th February and a VIP ticket package for the winner and a friend. 


Terms and Conditions


Entries open 9am Wednesday October 31st and close Friday 28 December 2018. Four finalist will be selected by a panel of judges (Memphis LK, yergurl, Carly Flecknoe, Juliette Lalli) and posted on the Grampians Music Festival Facebook page to go out for final public vote on Friday 11 January. The public will have one week to vote from Friday 11 January until Friday 18th January. The votes that are counted after the 10pm cut off and this is the final judgement. No votes will be accepted after this time. Winner is announced on 28th January 2019.
