TECH CORPS Volunteer Registration Form

TECH CORPS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring ALL K-12 students have equal access to technology programs, skills and resources that enhance early learning and prepare them for college and career. TECH CORPS develops technology programs and deploys tech-savvy talent to assist K-12 schools and youth-serving organizations across the country. Since 1995, more than 15,000 TECH CORPS volunteers have shared their time and expertise with K-12 students and teachers in their communities.  To learn more, visit

The TECHCORPShack coding event, sponsored by AT&T, will give high school students in the Akron, Columbus and Zanesville regions the opportunity to learn about computer science in a fun, engaging and inclusive environment. Over the course of the experience, participants will learn how to utilize MIT App Inventor to explore the world of mobile app development to create an app that tackles a real-world need or problem. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet and work with other coders, technology leaders and advocates from their community.

Locations:   Columbus (Capital University), Zanesville (Zane State College), and Akron (University of Akron)
Eligibility:  This opportunity is open to students in grades 9 - 12 in the Akron, Columbus and Zanesville areas.
