About OHCA
Founded in 1950, the Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA) improves the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by promoting quality long term care in Oregon. A statewide, nonprofit trade association, OHCA is the largest long term care trade association in Oregon, representing more than 1,000 organizations and 90 percent of long term care providers in the state.

The OHCA events reach a variety of audiences from 25-to-1,300 attendees who work at nursing facilities, assisted living and residential care communities, memory care communities, in-home care agencies and independent senior living communities. Our attendees have varying levels of experience in long term care, from significant to limited experience, and cover all staff, clinical, operations, and administrative roles.

Submission Review and Selection
OHCA offers energetic and well-balanced educational programming to appeal to a diverse audience at all OHCA events. OHCA encourages proposals from a variety of individuals and organizations representing different points of view on timely subject matter. Presentations/presenters will be selected based upon the following criteria:
  • Quality, timeliness and value of content
  • Relevance to the needs of long-term care and community-based care professionals
  • Presenters familiar with and experienced in long-term care and community-based care
  • Cost; in an effort to keep registration fees at a minimum for our attendees, OHCA operates on a limited education budget. Therefore speakers who do not require speaker fees will be given top priority. Speakers who waive their fee will be given a complimentary registration into the event they speak at and will gain visibility and credibility as a leader in the profession by being a showcased presenter.

Submission Deadlines
Submissions will be accepted on an ongoing basis. OHCA reviews submissions periodically and will contact those presenters who have been selected for presentation. For larger events, submissions must be received by the following dates to be considered:
  • Spring Expo (held April 11-12):  November 12, 2023
  • Annual Convention (held September 17-18):  April 30, 2024
