Scholarship Description

SPARC was founded in 1981 by Richmond actress Jeri Cutler-Voltz. Jeri’s vision was to train young actors to become “triple threats” accomplished in acting, dancing, and singing.

Soon after Jeri’s death in 1998, the Jeri Cutler-Voltz Scholarship was established to recognize and celebrate up to 3 dedicated young artists who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to SPARC's values.

Awardees will receive a full scholarship to one (1) summer camp, plus their name on a plaque that will hang in the SPARC building in perpetuity.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Nominee must have participated in SPARC programming within the last 12 months.
2. Nominee must be interested in participating in summer programming at SPARC.
3. Nominee must be a rising 8th grader through graduating senior in high school.
4. Nominee may be nominated more than once.
5. Nominators may nominate more than one candidate, but cannot nominate one candidate more than once.
6. Nominee may NOT have previously received the Jeri Cutler-Voltz Scholarship.
7. Interested candidates may self-nominate.

Nomination Process:
1. Submit a nomination via this official nomination form by Wednesday, April 26, 2023
2. A committee will deliberate and decide awardees
3. Awardees will be notified by Friday, May 12, 2023
