The APC Fisheries Awards Program is meant to recognize exceptional achievement by Atlantic and Gaspé First Nation community members, organizations, or businesses. The winners will have achieved distinction through their dedication and commitment to fisheries within their communities.

All First Nations community members, organizations, or businesses in the Atlantic and Gaspé region are eligible to be nominated. In order to be eligible for an award, the nominee must meet the basic criteria for the award category, which can be found here. The nominator must provide a detailed letter of support for their nominee. It is also highly encouraged to provide other supporting documentation such as pictures, videos, news clips, etc. to strengthen their nomination.

The winners in each category are selected by an independent jury and will receive special recognition and an award at the Fisheries Conference during the Fisheries Awards Banquet and Ceremony.
