1. Introduction

Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for a virtual workshop session at the NJHSA 2021 Conference: Responsive, Resilient, Reimagining Together!, to be held online from April 20 – 23, 2021.  With this conference, we look forward to engaging the participation of a wide range of Network stakeholders including member agency professionals and lay leadership, the full participation of the 21 active Network Affinity Groups, partner organizations, funders, the corporate community and colleagues from the European Council of Jewish Communities. We hope this conference helps to chart a direction for each attendee and helps the Jewish human service sector to continue its efforts to thrive in a virtual world while honoring our Network’s commitment to ensuring diversity, equity, inclusion and racial justice throughout.  This year, we invite you to share your experiences in response to COVID-19 and are asking you to strongly consider what our sector should do, moving forward, as we continue to navigate the implications of the global pandemic. Our goal is for everyone to leave this conference with important takeaways, a renewed commitment to our Network colleagues and exceptional strategies to strengthen your work and your communities.
The deadline for submission is Friday, December 18, 2020. Please contact Lisa-Loraine Smith, NJHSA Chief Program Officer, at 201-693-5130 or email llsmith@networkjhsa.org with any questions. We will let you know if your proposal has been accepted by January 22, 2021.  If accepted, presentations, along with related materials (power points, videos, and additional resources you will to share for your session) will be due February 28, 2021.

Please note the following:
--All session presentations will be 75 minutes (including the introduction by the session Chair and the Q&A).  The presentations will be virtual so please give thought as to how to engage your audience. You can use polls, share videos, engage multiple speakers on a panel and use break out rooms to keep audiences connected.
--While there are fewer presentation slots available for this virtual conference, all sessions that are submitted will be considered for presentation as Network virtual offerings throughout the year.
--Workshop presenters may include professionals and/or lay leadership from NJHSA member and partner agencies, as well as outside speakers who would add value to the presentation.
--Non-Members are also invited to submit session proposals with the understanding that priority is given to sessions presented by NJHSA member agencies.
--Proposals from one agency may be combined with proposals from another one or more agencies should the overall concept or theme for the proposed sessions be comparable.
--Incomplete submissions will not be considered for review by the Conference Committee.
