ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM
Join us March 1-5, 2021 for Pennsylvania's Healthcare Mosaic Conference: Advocacy & Equity in Action, hosted by the Nurse Diversity Council of the Pennsylvania Action Coalition in partnership with Penn State College of Nursing. The entire conference will be virtual and conducted through Zoom. Presentations will be scheduled throughout each day. Administrators, Clinicians, Faculty, Researchers, Scholars, and Students interested in speaking or presenting at the conference are warmly invited to submit a conference abstract.
Abstracts will be scored on their applicability to the following objectives:
Abstracts will be scored on their applicability to the following objectives:
- Identify culturally competent care practices among academic, clinical, community, and other stakeholders
- Discuss the impact of health policy and advocacy on health, healthcare delivery and outcomes
- Examine current policy and evidence-based practices in addressing social determinants of health, health disparities, and health equity
- Analyze sources of explicit and implicit bias and how they affect patient care, community health, and healthcare policy
Submitted abstracts will be considered for the following sessions:
- Rapid Fire - A series of speedy presentations in lieu of a poster. Presenters get maximum of 10 slides. The result is a fast and fun presentation which lasts 7-8 minutes and questions will be answered by the presenters at the end.
- Long Plenary Presentation - A presentation in which speakers discuss specific topics before an audience. Can submit individually. Presenters provide a 45-minute presentation with 15 minutes for Questions & Answers from the audience.
- Short Plenary Presentation - A presentation in which speakers discuss specific topics before an audience. Can submit individually. Presenters provide a 25-minute presentation with 5 minutes for Questions & Answers from the audience.

Resume/CV and/or Biosketch will need to be uploaded. Resume, CV, Biosketch must be current - within the last 12 months. Continuing Education will be offered to participants.
Abstracts are being accepted until Sunday, October 11, 2020 by 11:59 pm ET.
Note: Sources of funding or support for the project or program detailed in the abstract must be disclosed. All authors listed on the abstract must disclose information that may indicate potential conflict of interest (i.e., financial agreements, organization affiliations) with the topic of the abstract.
Individuals are allowed to submit only ONE abstract as the PRIMARY AUTHOR. Do not use capital letters in the abstract title and do not bold or italicize any of the text in the abstract.
