2021 Farmers Market Grant Application Dates:

Rules and Regulations: 
Please read before applying.

We will award grants based on 100% completion of the grant application; and the creativity and potential effectiveness of your marketing plan. Our team will review your grant applications, and winners will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. Your market must fall within AgSouth’s service territory. To see if your county is eligible, visit https://agsouthfc.com/locations
  2. The market must be open at least 8 days over a 2-month period with at least 10 vendor booths open on market days.
  3. At least 50 percent of your minimum 10 market vendors must sell agriculturally-related products, and you must provide a list of the vendors complete with their name, valid email, and what agricultural products they sell as part of your application. Applications with an incomplete vendor name, valid email and product will not be eligible for the grant.
  4. Your grant application must include a detailed marketing plan for how you would use the grant if awarded, and it must incorporate the AgSouth Farm Credit or Think Outside the Box® logo or mention AgSouth Farm Credit’s name. Plans that do not include AgSouth will not be considered for our grant program.
  5. You must complete the online application between 8:00am February 15, 2021 and 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2021. Entries received before or after those dates will be disqualified.

Winners will be notified by the end of March 2021. If your market is selected to receive a grant, AgSouth will provide you with:
  • $500 check to be used for promoting the market;
  • AgSouth Farm Credit and Think Outside the Store® digital logos; and
  • Press announcement you may use to announce the grant in your local newspaper(s) to further help you promote your market.
