The Illinois Latino Council on Higher Education (ILACHE), welcomes your conference proposals for workshop or poster presentations.  We invite ILACHE members and non-members to submit a proposal!

GENERAL INFORMATION

How do I submit a proposal?
Use the online proposal form to submit your proposal. Submit no later than 5:00 p.m. (CST), Friday, February 1, 2019.  Acknowledgment that material was received will be sent via email to the primary contact of the proposal submission.

Submission Formats
1) We encourage workshop presentations from faculty, staff, and students across disciplines are encouraged. Speaker proposals will be accepted addressing this year's conference theme, "March apart, strike together: Building coalitions to advance a Latinx educational agenda" in any of the Tracks listed below.

Track 1- Successful Models & Best Practices: High impact programs and initiatives that promote Latino student success. Topics may include HSI’s best practices; undocumented student initiatives; Latino centers. 

Track 2- Advocacy and Legislation: Policies and practices that affect Latinos in higher education. Topics may include Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); Affirmative Action; Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois (DFI).

Track 3- Collaborations, Grants, and Partnerships: Programs and initiatives that promote strategic alliance in support of Latinos in higher education. Topics may include; Two-year and four-year collaborations; K-12 to higher education partnerships; Community agencies and higher education.   

2) We welcome poster presentations from students across disciplines. Come share with everyone your ideas, best practices, knowledge,  passion, and interests! Poster submissions are not required to follow conference theme or tracks.
