Nomination for AWA Tasmania Branch Committee
In accordance with the procedures of the Tasmanian Branch of the Australian Water Association, members are invited to nominate for a position on the Tasmanian Branch Committee.
To be eligible to nominate for the Committee, you must be a financial member of the Tasmanian Branch (excluding Water Supporters). Please check your membership status by phoning the Australian Water Association on 1300 361 426 if you are unsure.
About the Tasmanian Branch Committee:
Committee members should expect to be allocated a specific task including but not limited to branch advocacy, membership or events.
The Branch Committee will consist of up to fifteen (15) financial members, including the Branch President. Committee members are nominated for 2 year terms. In 2019, we are calling for nominations for 7 committee members.
It is important to note that for your nomination to be valid you must include a brief (no more than 150 words) statement that will be included in election information.

Nominations open at 9am Thursday 16 May 2019 and will close at 5pm on Friday 7 June 2019. Should more nominations be received than vacant positions, an election of Committee members will undertaken with non-compulsory voting by Tasmanian members of the AWA. Voting will take place between 9am Fri 14 June and 5pm of Fri 21 June 2018. Successful nominees will be announced on Wed 5 June 2019 to commence from 1 July 2019 for a period of 2 years.
