As the restorative justice movement in Oregon grows and develops, it is paramount to expand and cultivate diverse leadership and representation within the restorative justice and victim assistance movements. Leaders and practitioners in these movements are predominantly white. Yet, we know that people of color are disproportionately represented in the criminal justice system, and that all marginalized groups are disproportionately victimized in our communities. As we work to be more responsive to victim/survivor needs, the voices of marginalized groups must be central to our growth.

If you identify as a person of color, or as part of other marginalized groups, we encourage you to apply for the symposium. If the symposium fills, we will utilize the information shared in the following question to help us prioritize diverse representation.
