Thanks for participating in our inaugural Leadership Merit Badge Challenge. We’re looking forward to getting your merit badge ideas. Twenty ideas will be selected to be produced as part of our 2017 Leadership Week Activities. Winning entries will receive their own frameable award and get public accolades!

Tips to creating a good badge:

1) Keep your badge title short and snappy – 2 to 5 words maximum

2) Award descriptions should be no more than one sentence and clearly describe the award

3) Use power verbs that pack a punch (see examples below)

4) Have fun. The Leadership Merit Badge campaign is for all the things that leader’s do that they never get credit for surviving. Think of all the things you didn’t know you were getting into when you signed up to become a leader.
