Jointly Provided Activity Statement
The 2015 Lifeline Annual Physician Operators Forum is a Jointly Provided Activity by Saint Thomas Health and Lifeline Vascular Access.

Objective Wording:
Upon completion of this activity you will be able to:

• Examine advanced technology in Nanotechnology and why it is important for the 2015 clinician to know.

• Examine the impact of high flow AVF on cardiac function and the risk of developing high output heart failure.

• Examine strategies to maintain excellence in dialysis access management.

• Examine treatment strategies for PAD in order to determine the most appropriate treatment for the individual patient.

• Discuss non-clinical roles and operational guidelines in the Access Center.

• Examine the severity of pain management, the effects, and the bio-psycho-social philosophy of managing pain.

• Discuss the surveillance of patients and the controversy behind catheter-related mortality.

• Discuss the new government mandates and how it affects current patient care.

• Examine a variety of technical and clinical considerations when approaching a transplant patient with an AV access.

• Discuss a variety of cases that are unique to generate group discussion for learning.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Saint Thomas Health and Lifeline Vascular Access.
