Short descriptions are included later in this application.

TIMING: Team assignments will be announced on October 20. Projects run from late October through May.

IMPORTANT DATES: Please mark your calendar now for the following mandatory training sessions:

Service Line Training on Wednesday, November 8, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Strategy consulting for nonprofit organizations requires a meaningful time commitment. Even with the best of intentions, you may not be able to serve the nonprofit organization or get the most of the Compass experience unless you can be an active member of your team. On average, volunteers are expected to commit 2-3 hours per week to their Compass project. Compass is not a virtual experience, and your team will likely meet at least twice per month in-person. If your current job or personal life requires extensive travel, it may be difficult for you to stay in touch with your Compass team, be at meetings, or complete your project work. Please consider your available time and your other commitments before applying for a Compass team.

Additionally, our trainings and many of our nonprofit clients are located in downtown D.C. If you live in the outer regions of the Greater Washington area, you may need to come into the city for meetings.

NOTE: If you are new to Compass, after submitting this application please also send your current resume to Caroline Szakats at cszakats@compassdc.org.
