Welcome to the SE 162nd Safety and Access to Transit Project Survey

PBOT is working on a safety and mobility project with several planned improvements in the Centennial Neighborhood on SE 162nd Street between SE Stark and SE Powell Boulevard. Construction is planned to begin in Summer 2021.

We see far too much illegal speeding along the 1.7-mile stretch of SE 162nd Avenue where we’re looking to make these improvements. More than 6,000 drivers exceed the speed limit here daily. Combined with few places to cross the road safely, this is extremely dangerous. It makes it harder for people in the neighborhood to get to their school, the bus stop, or new parks like Parklane Park and Verdell Burdine Rutherford Park.

The goal of this survey is to illustrate the planned changes and ask a few questions so that we can incorporate your knowledge of the neighborhood into the designs. We seek your expertise as the people who commute, live, work and recreate here to ensure we are creating the best solution for you. Thank you for sharing your feedback!
