If you’re only planning to send one survey for now, we recommend either our Basic (free) or Standard plan with monthly billing.

Automatic billing (auto-renew) is turned on by default so that you keep access to your paid features and responses for as long as you need them. If you turn off auto-renew, you’ll be downgraded to a free plan at the end of your billing cycle. When this happens, any responses over your Basic limit that are older than 365 days will be deleted, per our data retention policy.

The number of responses you can collect depends on your plan. Basic lets you view up to 25 responses per survey, even if you collect more. On paid plans, response limits are counted across all surveys and users. If you exceed your response limit on a paid plan, you’ll be charged $0.15 for each additional response.

Each person you want to collaborate with needs their own account (or seat). At checkout, you can decide how many Full Access and Analyst seats you want. Full Access users can create, send, analyze, and share surveys. Analysts can only view, comment on, and analyze surveys that are shared with them.

We require account verification as an extra layer of security. Each user can register up to 2 devices at a time. Per our Terms of Use, accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared.

Yes, you can reassign an account to another person or ask our Support team in advance to remove any unused seats. You’re charged for seats once per billing cycle. Note that if you invite more people to your SurveyMonkey team than you have seats available, you’ll be charged a prorated overage cost.

Team plans require a minimum of 3 users. These plans include additional management and collaboration features such as consolidated billing, user roles and permissions, and shared assets.
