Introduction and background

This survey is being carried out on behalf of Coventry City Council and aims to understand the extent of people's walking activity and what people think of the effectiveness of Walking Maps.

What is a Walking Map?

Walking Maps show you routes of short walks in different areas of Coventry. Some of them get you from A to B and other Walking Maps show you walks that you can do in your own leisure time. The Walking Maps currently cover Tile Hill and Canley, Foleshill, Willenhall and the city centre. If you would like a Walking Map, please contact Naomi Brook using the details below.

Walking Maps are currently being piloted and your feedback to this survey will help us to assess whether we should or should not design more in-depth maps which cover the whole city. Should we decide to go ahead and create more Coventry-wide Walking Maps, we will use what you have told us to help design them.

How can I view the walking maps?

To view the walking maps, please follow this link: http://www.coventry.gov.uk/walkmorefeelgood

To let us know what you think of Walking Maps and about how much walking you do, please complete this short survey. We will use the information that you provide in this survey to find out how people found their experiences of using the Walking Maps, if the maps have been of benefit and to understand the extent of people's walking activity.

Your response to this survey will be anonymous, however we do ask for your age, gender and ethnicity at the end of the survey (you do not have to provide this information if you do not wish to). There is also the option of leaving your email address at the end of the survey so that we can keep you up to date with information about walking in Coventry.

This survey will close at the end of October 2014.

The results from this consultation will be available from here: http://www.coventry.gov.uk/walkmorefeelgood
